When a loved one
is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, the news can be devastating for the
person and every family member involved. While some families are equipped to
provide in-home care as the disease progresses, the reality is this is not
always possible nor is it always in the loved one’s best interest. If the
decision has been made that a long-term residential care facility is required,
the best thing families can do to help is to ensure the right environment is
selected.
